System Requirements for Live and Recorded Events

System Requirements for live sessions and recordings created after January 1, 2006.

  • OS: Microsoft Windows 2000, XP Pro SP2
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 5.01, Netscape 7.2, Firefox 1.0+
  • Network: 28.8+ kbps Internet connection
  • CPU: P350+ MHz, 128+ MB memory; 40-200 MB free space (for content & recordings)
  • Display: 800x600 16-bit+ (high color)
  • Audio: Soundcard and speakers (microphone or headset optional)

System requirements for viewing recordings
created prior to January 1, 2006

Recordings originally made in Centra 7.2 and earlier require the MS JVM v. 5.00.3809+ ( the Sun JVM won't work). Microsoft Windows 2000 included the MS JVM, but later versions of Windows have discontinued the MS JVM.

Please Note: The Microsoft JVM may not be installed on your machine if you have Windows XP SP2 or another recent version of Windows.
